I'm chomping at the bit (pun intended) for my favorite Subeta holiday to kick off!! Who else is excited for it? What's your favorite part of the holiday, any skins you're intending to nab this year, or will you be avoiding them like the -- well, you get it. I'm too hyped not to talk about it anymore, so come and share your hype!! :)

I'll also edit in a rough and dirty guide here for people who will be experiencing Survival for the first time this year, or just need a bit of a refresher, once I've gotten one typed up! [edit] IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER Survival is a holiday that deals with Zombies, infections, and disease. Since these themes can be triggering to many people, use your own discretion when choosing to engage with the holiday. If you are upset by gore, blood, body horror, etc. I recommend turning avatars off for the duration of the event, because there is usually an uptick in avatars featuring said themes. Some of the Zombie Skins are very graphic. (you can turn avatars off [here]) Note: The Survival news post usually includes a guide to the holiday, so you can go to previous years and read those for a more in depth look. This is just to let you know a bit of what to expect!

I'm always excited for survival! My inner completionist is always a bit sad that I can't get all the skins (even though I don't use any others), but I do my darned best to get as many as I can each year :P

I look forward to it all year! I always like to sign up for one of the new infections with the random option so it starts right away...I enjoy being one of the first to experience a new one as it is slowly revealed. I then try to collect all the new skins I like and pick up one or two old ones before it ends. I like the weird, gory strains but I might go for some of the cutesy pink ones this year too, like Naughty Nip or Love Bug.

I look forward to new items in both the Zombie Den and L'Amour Parlor with equal anticipation.

I am SOOO excited for Survival!!! I joined Subeta last year a couple weeks before Survival, so it was my first holiday, and it is definitely my favorite! I'm really looking forward to seeing the new skins, and all the new shop items. For the past week I've been making HAs for all the skins I got last year to get ready. :)

I'll probably prioritize the new skins this year, but I also really want to get Butterfly Bruise, Crystalitis, Pinkie Patch, and Virus.

I wish it could last for a whole month so I could get more skins!!! This is one of my favourite holidays!!! I can't wait to see the new strains, brainstorming names for the strains, and new items.

SO HYPE! I love Survival! I'm hoping to get Carchari, Deathslug and Doom Bloom skins this year. Then I'll have every skin before 2017! If I can also get Ant Agony and Caterkiller then I'll have all skins through 2017 :D I don't have any of the 2021 strains yet though so I may want to get one of those and a 2022 skin instead of the 2017 strains I am missing. I haven't decided yet and it will depend on how long the holiday lasts, how fast I can get infected and reinfected and how many stages the new 2022 strains are.

Yesss, I feel that - I love getting as many as I possibly can every year! Hopefully the shortened stage times are back this year so we can make some headway! 💪 And you too!! I couldn't wait to get dressed up <3

Same! Though I tend to pick one rather than going for random, 'cause so far I've had a good track record of picking my favorite new strain on the first try. 😆 Gotta see if I can keep my streak going! I absolutely love watching all the new strains progress though, even if I'm an hour or so behind!! You've reminded me that I need to update my skin to-do list as well :0

Those are some of my absolute favorite skins!! I only got Carchari last year, but Doom Bloom was one I went after on my first survival iirc cause it's sooo cool. I hear you though, my infection planning is constantly changing during Survival LOL, we'll see where the chips fall!!

I always get a new strain every year! Last year I paid for the rapid infection, and will probably do so again this year! I might go for dolly, if I go for an older one after.

Me too! As for when it'll start, there's not a specific date. Last year, it got pushed back a lot and started on the 23rd, the year before that it was the 19th, and before that it was the 16th two years in a row. Anywhere in that range, give or take, is possible, but hopefully it won't be delayed and we'll get it well before the 23rd!!

Ohhh I’m so excited!! Favorite holiday, followed closely by Morostide and then Masquerade. I’m certainly one of those users who makes super gory HAs around this time lol. Got the heart bursting from chest item from that last TS restock so…. yes, inspiration 😊

Very good taste in Holidays, Morostide and Masquerade are SO fun too. 👌 Yesss, it's fun to lean into it for Survival!! Revel in the gory glory! I most definitely don't judge either side of the spectrum, people who make gnarly zombie avatars or people who get squeamish around them, because somehow I'm both 😆

I don't know if I should go for a new skin to start off with or not, cause usually the new strains end up finishing before the unlocked skins are on the site and then it causes problems. So I might just play it safe and start with a previous year, in fact, I already know I which one I want to get, the crystal one from last year.

I usually prioritise skins that are easier to dress, unless I think they look good enough to put more effort into working with in the wardrobe. There are some that I don't intend to ever get unless they stop making zombie skins and I can catch up.

Good luck with your streak! My goal is to get all the skins eventually anyway so it doesn't really matter which one I get first. Might as well let RNG decide and get that slight head start unless they give a hint for one that really speaks to me.

Following along with the strain naming process is always fun too. Even if the ones I vote for don't win, there are always such clever suggestions.

it's gonna be my first survival since i came back from a huge hiatus so very excited to catch up on skins i missed and candy hearts, oof i missed so much from the shop. it's one of my favorite holiday just for the zombie aspect xD

I'm not big on the skins so much, but I do enjoy seeing their progression, so that's always cool.

Meeeee I can't wait to bite and get bitten! So excited to see the new strains this year, they're always so fun to watch! Hopefully we'll have just enough time to catch up and get an extra skin in. I should probably plan which skins I'm after this year, too many good ones left still.
